Primitive Art
American painter, an untrained farm wife, she painted primitive scenes of rural life. Known to the world as Grandma Moses, she was a remarkable woman who began painting when she was 70 years of age and continued to create art until she was 101 years old. She created around 1,600 pieces of art in her quest to make the world around her a more beautiful place. in this scene, children climb a tree in an orchard while a man plows his field in this lush summer scene.
